Frequently Ask Questions
Here is a list of some of the common questions that Dr Ricardo Hamilton is asked during consultations. If you have any concerns or further questions, please feel free to contact us. Hope the answers are helpful!
I currently do surgeries and procedures at Sydney Southwest Private Hospital, Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital, Camden Day Surgical Hospital, The George Centre, Campbelltown Public Hospital and Campbelltown Private Hospital.
Complications can occur with any surgery even with the best of care and control of as many factors as possible. Of the things in our control, some are patient factors, some are surgeon factors and some relate to things beyond our control. However, we are diligently to not rush or cut corners for whatever reason, to provide our safest and highest possible care.
There are of course general and specific risks to surgery that vary depending upon the specific surgery and the patient. It is best to discuss the specific risks of surgery directly with the surgeon.
I visit a few locations in the South West Sydney area for consultations, rotating between MacArthur Colorectal (MacArthur), LPC House (Oran Park) and Mittagong Healthcare Centre (Mittagong), as well as also doing consulting and surgeries at Campbelltown Public Hospital and Campbelltown Private Hospital.
Yes, just ask for a quote. In addition to the surgeon, assistant and anaesthetic fee, there will be hospital cost that will include theatre and equipment costs. In general, we will give a ballpark figure before we see patients who want to be treated as insured patients in the private hospital.
